smash fest was a complete disappointment.
my expectations would be that there would be a minimum of 10 to 20 wii Us provided by nintendo for this special occasion, along with HD tvs and gamecube adapters, followed by tons of gamecube controllers. and this event would be hosted inside the store's stock room, since i saw the line started, at those very doors...
but when the event officially started, the doors did not open, but then i heard a slight, but not overly hyped cheer, meaning something must of happened. as i reached to the first turn, there i found the sudden truth... they only have one... ONE tv, with the game... this made me feel like i was just robbed, and yet i did not pay to join or anything. soon, i heard word from an employee saying, and i quote "the manager did not expect this many people will attend."

what... what! WHAAAAT!!!!!

FIRST OF ALL, DO NOT ASSUME THAT NO ONE IS GOING TO JOIN AND PLAY A DEMO VERSION OF A GAME THAT MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE PLAYING DURING E3!!!!!! THAT IS JUST TERRIBLE PLANNING!!!!

phew... s-sorry about that outburst. the entire journey took around 3 hours... i arrived at 2:45pm and there was already a small line. around 6:10 is where it was my chance to finally play the game... and from all the waiting, and standing, it... did not pay off...
NO- don't get me wrong, the game was great, great to look at, this that, and all the biased things that people will say about this game. it is just that the pro controller... ugh... all the waiting, and the feel of the controller just made my round a complete slop. i wasn't able to fight properly. okay, maybe it was because i'm now used to the gamecube controller, but this bad combination of waiting, and the pro controller just made me feel stiff and cramped...

worst of all is that, to get a chance for everyone to get to play smash bros. they had to split the amount of players that will receive the luxury of playing TWO ROUNDS for TWO MINUTES, and the other amount, will only get to play one match, for two minutes... and guess what i got? what made it even more terrible, is that when it was my turn, they shifted into one match per customer...

overall, if your store gets a chance to demonstrate a game, especially i highly anticipated one, DON'T treat your customers like cattle. Always expect the amount of customers will be over 100, do a little research to what they are going to play! the internet is there, use it! find out why this is such a big deal!!!! and organize the event by having multiple displays, move the store isles around, be creative, DONT just entertain the people in the back of the line with some tiny race cars in a rolled up track being controller remotely via smartphone app...

the hell is there to lose when you sort an entire section to look like it was part of the nintendo section, in E3?

smash fest rating: 1/10
*disappointed me with low quantity of availability, resulting in long waiting time, would trigger health problems, if your not used to standing for so long*

super smash bros. wii U rating: 8/10,
*it looks pretty, but the experience i had to get a chance to play resulted in feeling like the controls were clunky. I could of given it a higher rating, if we got the chance to play with GC controllers...*

I will not be partaking on smash fest again, in the following Saturday, it was that bad of an experience...

well yea. clever nod to the ending pictures of those metroid games.
though i wised the costume skins for regular samus would be more, on par to their originals instead of just being recolors, but i et they did that because it is a lot cheaper and faster to not make an entirely different model...
